What it actually does
💰
Tracks shared spend automatically
Groceries, bills, kid expenses — categorized without either of you entering a thing.
🔔
Nudges before things are late
Ruka tells you both when a bill's due and nobody's marked it paid — before it becomes a fight.
💬
Answers the money questions
"Can we afford the camp deposit?" Ask like you'd ask a person. It knows your actual numbers.
Splits and follows up for you
Set a split — 50/50, 60/40, per custody agreement, or evenly across housemates — and Ruka requests, tracks, and reminds. Not you.

Built for however your household works
Couples & families under one roof
One shared view of the money, so it's not just one partner carrying the mental load of remembering everything.
Co-parents splitting costs across two homes
Custody-agreement expense splitting, automatic reimbursement requests, and a record of who paid what — without the back-and-forth texts.
Roommates & share houses
Rent, wifi, utilities, and shared purchases split evenly across everyone in the house — no more chasing housemates for their share.
Questions
Is this a bank or a budgeting app?
Neither, exactly. Ruka connects to your existing accounts to track spending and coordinate between people — it doesn't hold your money or give investment advice.
Does my ex, partner, or housemate need the app too?
For splitting and reimbursements, yes — both people need an account so requests and confirmations happen automatically instead of over text.
Is my data private from my co-parent, partner, or housemates?
You control what's shared. Shared expenses are visible to both people by design; anything outside that split stays private.
